Halloween Skelanimal Spotlight

It’s almost that time of year again… Halloween! There’s no denying Halloween isn’t the healthiest of holidays. However, it does present a great opportunity to show kids how they can be active while walking around the neighborhood trick-or-treating.

What better way to track steps during Halloween activities than with a playfully scary Skelanimals GeoPalz design? They’re the perfect trick-or-treat companion. Especially for kids looking to collect steps and treats this Halloween.

In honor of our favorite spooky holiday we’ve spotlighted the Skelanimals below along with their favorite scary movie, trick, or treat!

Diego – Favorite trick: Teasing the other Skelanimals

Dax – Favorite scary movie: “Beware the Eagle”

ChungKee – Favorite treat: Bamboo!

All Things Creepy

From horror movies to seemly paranormal occurrences, creepy things are part of our culture.

One especially creepy calendar day is Friday the 13th. Superstition holds that Friday the 13th is a day of bad luck. Different theories exist as to the origin of this superstition, but regardless of why people are frightened by this date, the social impact is unquestionable. A number of people alter their daily routine as a result of Friday the 13th and some even refuse to fly in an airplane on that day!

Superstitions and scary stories frighten some kids, but others enjoy hearing about them. Books like R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps and movies like The Corpse Bride play into kids’ fascination with eerie events.

Skelanimals GeoPalz can also tap into your kids’ fascination with all things creepy, and encourage them to get active at the same time.

Marcy

For example, Skelanimal Marcy’s favorite scary movie is “The Tail Collector.” Her favorite thing to do is anything, just as long as she’s with her owner. She observes the other Skelanimals from a distance and minds her own business. She’s cool like that.

With six frighteningly adorable designs, your kids can take their favorite dead animal with them everywhere they go (and log steps along the way)!

Friday the 13th might be a bad time to walk under a ladder, but it’s still a great day to log steps! Want to find out more about how GeoPalz can help encourage kids to get moving? Visit our Parents page.
